Original red cloth, rather worn and marked, pp. (iii) + 194 + (2: index), a few plates (one detached). Ownership inscription dated 1904 and stamps on the endpapers, a little foxing, a few marks and a pencil doodle in the text. Novel set during the First Anglo-Boer War. Dutch text. .
