Organized by a group of old Reform colleagues under James Lesslie this report of two meetings as well as the address of the Central Committee, with the object of raising a fund to purchase a homestead for William Lyon Mackenzie in gratitude of his labours and sacrifices for better government for the people of Upper Canada. The main body of the address, pp4-15, gives a detailed review of Mackenzie's career. The committee was sufficiently successful as to purchase a house on Bond Street in Toronto for Mackenzie..
