A tight and handsome first edition of this biography of the colorful Kentucky child of a prostitute who continued the family tradition, becoming proprietor of one of the most well-known brothels in the south. Signed and inscribed large and bold by the author in black fineline on the front flyleaf: "To Scoop Riddell / Nov 20, 1983 / Buddy Thompson." Laid in is one of author Buddy Thompson's business cards (bright red with gilt lettering, of course!), a bookmark specific to this book with artist's depiction of Belle Brezing's famed house, and a "Lexington Courier-Journal" 1984 lengthy review of this book.
