This story about the title character as she watches over her family was very popular in its day and was, per Wikipedia, selected as one of the first ten paperbacks issued by Penguin in 1935. --- In full blue cloth-covered boards with cover & spine titling in gilt. Volume lacks the dust jacket. --- The titling has dulled, especially on spine, and with prior owner's signature to front free endpaper, else a well-preserved, sound copy.; 12mo - 7 to 7-1/2 in. tall; (6), 342, (4, ads) pages .
