Koln, Germany: Taschen, 1990. Softcover. Fine. 4to 11" - 13" tall. Martin Hugo Maximillian Schreiber. On 12 February 1979 a quiet, shy young woman walked into my studio for the first time. She was the nude model for my photography class that evening. She said that she was a dancer, her name was Madonna Ciccone." Martin Hugo Maximilian Schreiber (b. 1946) is a Czech-American photographer who captured Madonna pre-megastardom in stunning black-and-white photographs. Sterling condition softcover copy, with unfurled tips, tight binding, and clean internals, showing only very slight shelf- and edge-wear to the glossy black-and-white pictorial wraps, covered in stiff plastic sleeve folded over at top and bottom edges considerably. Big, tall, quarto softcover format, replete with black-and-white and full color, full photographs of an early Madonna. Trilingual in English, German and French, and with artist's signed release form depicted alongside a portrait of the photograph. Unpaginated, but roughly 40 pp.Member, I.O.B.A., C.B.A., and adherent to the highest ethical standards. Additional postage may be required for oversize or especially heavy volumes, and for sets.
