First edition. Translated from the French by Janet Flanner. B/w frontispiece of author plus 19 plates, all present. Bottom edge rough cut. Original red cloth boards with gilt titles to front and spine. Binding tight. Fading to spine and top edges of boards, spine ends and corners rubbed. Fox spotting to endpapers, prelims and occasionally in text. Previous owner neat ink signature to front free endpaper. Not ex-library. 215 pp plus 8 page publishers catalogue at back. All books are individually described. All overseas orders are sent airmail by Royal Mail International Tracked.
