Cambridge, MA: June 21, 1940.. 1940.. Good. - Magazine advertisement, approximately 4 inches high by 7-1 /4 inches wide, illustrated with a black-and-white portrait of Delzell. Signed in blue ink "Frederic Delzell". There is staining to the verso with some offsetting to the right margin of the portrait, not affecting the image or the signature. There is light creasing & very light offsetting to the text portion of the ad. Good. <p>The ad is promoting a performance by Delzell , "Young American Conductor" as guest conductor of the Boston Symphony Pops at Symphony Hall, Boston on June 21, 1940. The photographic portrait shows him at three-quarters length, wearing evening dress and holding a baton.<p>Frederic Delzell was a pianist as well as organist and choir director of the Episcopal Church in Boston.
