[ii]+172(last colophon), coloured vignette title page and numerous black & white text illustrations by the author (many full page); demy 4to; blue cloth backed cream papered boards, the upper board lettered and decorated with small 'pudding' vignette in brown, the boards soiled and lightly worn, with a few small surface grazes and tiny edge chips, the spine cloth faded and rubbed, starting to split, and slightly frayed at extremities; bookplate of J. B. Prentice on upper pastedown, small hole and surface graze to half-title page, the hinges starting at several points, a few small edge chips or splits, longer (5 cm.) closed marginal tear from bottom edge into pp. 101/2, some light marginal water staining, small surface grazes to pp. 83, 170 & 171, scattered soiling and occasional light foxing; Angus & Robertson, Sydney, 1918. First edition, second issue , with the plain white endpapers, text block more closely trimmed (278 x 220 cm), and with the title printed in black on the spine. Muir 4263a. *Lacking the dust wrapper.
