In the illustrated dust jacket that shows light edge-wear and rubbing; price of $6.00 intact on front flap. With a four-page autograph letter signed with the author's initials. The letter, dated July 1972, explains the gist of the the book and suggests the Alaska recipient, with whom he has been re-acquainted, might find the books thesis intemperate.

Vetter provides a rational explanation of religious activities through the scientific study of man's psyche. A reductionist, Vetter defines religion as the development of stereotyped habits. The author's greatest faith? Science.
