A tight, neat copy with no annotations or inscriptions. Slight bruising to spine tips. Dust-jacket spine is very lightly sunned. A near fine copy in a like dust-jacket. Tale of a wealthy magnate and his ambitious secretary who means to steal her tortured master's riches and power, by the author of the ever-popular detective Maigret series. Translated from the French by Geoffrey Sainsbury, with atmospheric dust-jacket illustration by MB.
