About This Item

London: Collins, 1947. Thrid Impression. Yellow Cloth. Very Good/Good. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" Large. Selby-Lowndes, Joan . 190pp. A third impression copy coming with an ALS. (1947) This letter from the author is writen to someone called 'Paul' and thanks him for his letter and that she was sending him this book. The letter has been illustrated by Joan Selby-Lowndes with a drawing of the house she was living in and a couple of other illustrations - all in pen, ink and watercolour. The book is bound in clean yellow cloth and there are light bumps to the head of the spine and to two board corners, with two other board corners being slightly turned in. Illustrated with several line drawings by the author throughout. There is a gift inscription from the author to the receipient Paul to the head of the front end paper. The textblock is clean and tight. Dust wrapper is price clipped. There are several short tears to the head of the wrapper and a few slight niks to the tail of the wrapper, now all expertly repaired. A little chipping to the head and tail of the spine of the wrapper. The wrapper has some scattered light soiling. A very good copy in a good wrapper with accompanying ALS.
