About This Item
1940s. First Edition. Spiral Bound. Fine. Note taped to verso of front cover, signed Florence Phinney but no record of that name associated with a cartoonist. An exquisite collection of fifteen original pencil drawings with some colored pencil work from the World War II era depicting life on the home front. This unknown artist was very likely a professional as each drawing is exceptional and very humorous. Small spiral bound "Artcraft Sketchbook" with brown cardboard covers. Has a new mylar dust jacket and housed in a custom clamshell box.
