Pages: [30], 1-901, plus 27 pages of Tables with last page blank, lacks first page A1 blank except for signature mark, signatures: A8, b8, B-3N8, jump in pagination "374-376" no leaf missing, catchwords and signatures correct, pages 28, 373-379 & 638 misnumbered, See: Library Hub Discover, Victoria and Albert Museum Libraries, for good description. Bound in full calf, gilt lettered title and date to spine, blind decoration to spine and covers, new endpapers, oval bookplate of Carl Franz George Richard Schwerdt to first free endpaper, bibliographer of Hunting, Hawking and Shooting Books and another engraved bookplate and small ink stamp. Binding rubbed, 30mm (½") crack to top of both hinges, covers firmly attached, slight wear to edges and corners, title page lightly dusty, small strip of pale staining to edges of lower margins on 3 leaves at beginning, tiny worm hole running from title page to page 40 affecting an occasional letter, closed tear to 1 lower margin neatly repaired, a few corners lightly creased, a few lower corners dusty on pages at the front and in Table at rear, occasional small pale stain or fox spot otherwise a very good clean copy.
