Sir Henry Rider Haggard (1856-1925) was an English author who specialised in adventure fiction set in exotic locations, primarily Africa. He was a pioneer of the "Lost World" literary genre.Four pages of advertisements to the rear. In the publisher's original brown pictorial cloth binding. Externally smart, with minor shelf wear to the extremities and joints and faint marks to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright but spotted throughout. Very Good
