New York: Seaver Books, 1981. First Edition. Hardcover with Dust Jacket. Near Fine/Near Fine. 8vo. Pp. 270. Half black cloth over red paper covered boards, titles stamped in gilt on the spine. In the three color illustrated dust jacket with price intact on the front flap. Bright, crisp and tight with very light foxing to the edges. Jacket with light edge-wear. From the jacket blurb, the title is "an Arab word which refers to the places in cemeteries where young couples meet to make love." This narrative poem, written to be read aloud, received the 2002 Premio Octavio Paz for Poetry and Essays. Dust jacket is now preserved in a removable, clear archival sleeve.
