About This Item
Berkeley, CA: Peacock Press, 1965. First Edition. Wraps. Fine. A reprint, in small book form, of Powell's ode to the small book originally published in the New York Times on December 6, 1964. Signed by Powell on the title page. Contains original mailing envelope in which it was sent to Roger Larson, MD, (1924-2013) who later went on to write "Controversial James: An Essay on the Life and Work of George Wharton James" published by the Book Club of California in 1991 and with a foreword by Lawrence Clark Powell.
