New York, London: G. P. Putnam's Sons, 1896. seems to be the first UK edition, illustrated blue cloth nice and fresh, front panel stamped in off- white and silver, does not have the orange colour seen in the New York edition, frontispiece illustration, tissue guard brown-spotted, pp 12, 401, adverts at end were not included. slight bumping to corners, but no wear. Front free endpaper has been trimmed out, presumably for owner's privacy, rear endpapers foxed, text block generally clean and sound, edges not trimmed. Contains eight stories, four with a supernatural theme. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. First Edition.. Hard Cover. Very Good/No Jacket.
