Hardcover. 4to. 28cm, Large Paper Copy, "Edition de Luxe", limited to 150 numbered and signed by the author, this being #30., on hand-made paper, vi,212p., rubricated title-page, photogravure frontis portrait, 4 plates, 6 tipped-in figures, index, in full dark green crushed morocco, blind ruled raised bands, gilt spine titles, gilt border on the boards, decorated gilt inner dentelles, bevelled boards, french marbled endpapers, t.e.g., the others two edges uncut, (deckled), green silk bookmark bound-in, peeling in 2 place and a few edge wear blemish have been expertly touch up before the regular leather application, a near fine copy of a rare book ~ Halford's scarce treatise on selecting and managing a fishery. With chapters on selection, tenure, management, weeds, poachers, netting, wiring, stocking, the stew, grayling and distribution. A beautifully bound edition with Halford's photogravure portrait as a frontispiece.
