Published in conjunction with a 1983 Los Angeles County Museum of Art exhibition, this is noted art historian and curator Herbert M. Cole's study of matched pairs of male and female sculptural figures in the art of Sub-Saharan Africa. A presentable example only showing a discoloring dampstain (but with no sticking or tearing of the pages) running through the covers and textblock from the heel of the spine along the lower edge.
