Contemporary calf, rebacked, corners worn through, edges worn, endpapers with notes and scribbles and pen tests and signatures. Scattered ink marks, wear to page edges, and annotations and notes, mostly marginal, dating from the 17th century to more recently. (2), 211pp

The fourth edition, some 50 pages longer than the third, of a work first published in 1631. Evidence of significant use over the years by a variety of owners, Edward Jones (1645, 1684), Cotward Jones (1765), Robert Jones, and in the 20th century the scholar Bernard G. Hall with his "private index" laid in. Rear endpaper with an inventory of a hall and bed chamber (ca. 18th century). A scarce volume with evidence of copious and various use. Size: duodecimo (12mo).
