About This Item

The First UK printing published by Heinemann in 1928. The BOOK is in near Fine condition with just a little light pushing at the spine ends and a hint of rubbing to the lower corners. Mild toning to the text-block with light spotting to the prelims and offsetting to the blank end-papers. Small neat bookseller's sticker to the lower front pastedown otherwise from inscriptions. The scarce WRAPPER is complete and is in near Fine condition. A remarkable survivor as the jacket is slightly larger than the book, and is particularly susceptible to wear. Light edge-wear with very mild toning to the spine and flap folds with a few odd light marks. Fading of the green lettering to the spine. The Ralph Keene wrapper artwork is exceptionally bright for its age and looks very striking in the removable Brodart archival cover. The author's very scarce second novel. Collectible. Ashton Rare Books welcomes direct contact.
