List of colour plates, chronology and list of illustrations. Dark red coloured end pages. At the beginning of the text there are 75 coloured plates of Monet, Dégas and Manets' artwork. The text is then illustrated with colour reproductions and black-and-white reproductions of various artworks by the 3 artists themselves and other artists of the time. White coloured board with gold coloured embossed titles to the front panel, and, white coloured titles to the back strip. . There is a square illustrated cameo to the front panel. As issued glassine dustwrapper. Illustrated slipcase with black coloured titles to the front panel. A look at 3 French artists from the 19th century -- Edouard Manet, Edgar Dégas, Claude Monet; published under the auspices of Harcourt Brace Jovanovich Masters of Art Series. Very light age toning of the text block edges and pages. Sunning to the back strip. The glassine dustwrapper shows no damage. Rubbing to the slipcase edges and to the panels. Fading of the coloured illustrations and there is almost complete fading of the back strip. Stains are also present. first edition by this publisher. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
