About This Item
Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago: Acla: works, 2009. color port. frontis, b/w and color plates, ports., plans, elevations, facs., bio./chron., illus. endpapers, color pict. boards. OCLC: 601975660. A book on the life and work of Anthony "Tony" Clyde Lewis (b. Trinidad 1918-2008), founding father of the Anthony C. Lewis Partnership firm and the first Trinidad-born architect to set up practice locally. The book was first begun by Lewis himself. His illness however prevented him from finishing it. Fortunately his early manuscripts were discovered by his son Gerry and Brian Lewis shortly after his death. They had already started the idea of a book on Lewis' extensive architectural and artistic oeuvre but the discovery of the manuscript became the stimulus they needed to complete the work.
