Brown cloth with gilt titles to the spine, worn slightly split on front hinge an bumped. A little foxed. 500 illustrations. 1st edition of Paley's book on mouldings, described by him as "a grammar of that language which is inscribed on every detail, and which speaks in mysterious though expressive characters upon every page of the imperishable records of the mediaeval church".
