Contemporary red roan backed marbled boards, spine with gilt rules and lettering. Sprinkled edges. Corners a trifle bumped and worn, ffep excised, else internally quite fresh. Armorial bookplate. At age 45, his short-lived retreat returned the Bourbons to power via "the baggage wagons of the enemy.
