Henry Schuman, 1950. Hardcover. Fine/Near Good. Larger book, red cloth spine with gray embossed Chinese lettering on front, ink signature, address and date on first front end paper, series of photos of Mao, 303 lightly browned pages. DJ front and spine colorful with illustration of marchers and illustration of young Mao on front, ad on back for "Peking Diary" by Derk Bodde, white back very slightly and uniformly browned. Signature is that of Harold Rugg, who published a textbook entitled "Man and His Changing World" that was attacked by the American Legion and conservative groups. DJ has slight wear along front bookfold edge, light wear to front edges, tiny surface wear spots at long spine left and right edges near top, slight wear and thin tear at spine top edge, tiny near-chip at spine bottom right edge, thin tiny tear at top back edge, spine very slightly faded, tiny but wider tear front left on spine indentation. Near Good DJ/Very Fine book.
