About This Item

Pennsylvania: S. A. Mitchell. Very Good. 1852. Map. Single sheet map, likely removed from atlas. Measures approximately 11.5 x 8.5 inches. Please note that we have not examined this item outside of the shrink wrap and foam mount that was added by the previous dealer. Map appears to be in very good condition with a few light spots of toning. This 19th century map of Texas was engraved by J. H. Young to illustrate Mitchell's School and Family Geography. Texas is shown in yellow with various cities, rivers, springs, and other landmarks in black. It includes two insets, one showing northern Texas and the other showing Galveston. .
