First two leaves (acknowledgements) of vol. 1 loose, else very good copies. Blue cloth, the odd spot or scratch, spines a bit faded, modern library stamp to front free endpaper, small paper label to spine of vols. 2-5. 'Peerless among monographs in the history of science' ('BioScience', 1967).
