New York, 1938. Reprint with addenda. Hardcover. 657pp. Octavo [21 cm] Brown cloth over boards with the title stamped in gilt on a black ink stamped panel on the backstrip. Map pastedowns. Very good condition. The top edges of the endsheets are just a little sunned, and the front pastedown has a small scribble and notation. This book, with authentic journals, diaries and letters, forms the background on which the author's famous novel about Benedict Arnold, Chronicles of Arundel was drawn.
