1850. Small octavo. Dark orange wrappers, with "1850" printed within decorative device to lower. Sewn. 1f. (recto title with cast list, verso prop list), 1f. (recto dedication to Giuseppe Maria Dr. Calvi, verso blank), [5]-59, [i] (blank) pp.

Censored by the Church, with small decorative oval handstamp "Revisigne Ecclesiastica Roma" to recto of each leaf. Numerous contemporary manuscript corrections and deletions.

With additional censorship stamp to recto of final leaf signed and dated in manuscript 15 May 1859, with additional manuscript notes to verso.

Lower wrapper quite worn and chipped; upper lacking. Some internal wear, browning, and foxing; signatures loose. An interesting censored copy of a work by the noted 19th century French writer and playwright Vanderburch based on Dumas's The Three Musketeers (Les Trois Mousquetaires).
