About This Item

New York: Duell, Sloan, & Pearce, 1965. First edition. Hardcover. Very Good/very good. First edition stated. Hardcover in half black cloth over yellow paper half covered boards. 279 pp. with index, Very good, some soiling to the yellow portions of the boards but the black cloth portion and yellow lettering is fine. In original pictorial dust jacket, near fine. The first serious, full scale biography of Marilyn Monroe to appear after her 1962 death. Striking photography of a pensive Monroe from Paris Match graces the front panel of the jacket. One of the scarcer and more sought after of the plethora of Marilyn books.
