Illustrated with over 435 reproductions in color and b&w, quite a number full-page. Exhaustive catalogue at the back with photo, date, and technical data for every graphic work in Marini’s oeuvre. Includes eight previously unpublished works. Foreword by the authors, preface by Marina Marini, the artist’s wife, and eight-page introductory critical essay by renowned Italian art critic Mario de Micheli. Translation to English from the original Italian supervised by Leslie J. Sachs. Finely published and printed on Brilliant Garda Matt paper from the Garda Mill, by Grafiche Favillini in Livorno, Italy. Fine, in a Near Fine dust jacket that has two small (3/8") closed edge tears in the blank area of the front panel, not affecting titles or graphics. A clean, crisp, bright, and sparkling copy, with no rubbing, no signatures or any other markings of any kind. A beautiful book, and unchallenged authority on the subject.
