About This Item

Paris: Librairie Stock, 1932. First French Edition. Octavo, 130 pages. A Very Good+ copy in publisher's printed self-wraps - one of 1,650 numbered copies, this copy being No. 835. Light wear to the extremities, notably the spine panel and to the edges of the rear wrapper. Signatures are uncut, small Montevideo bookseller's label to front endpage, with some foxing to the endpages and text edges. The scarce French edition of Mann's anti-fascist novel, and the only copy we've seen with the promotional band.
