About This Item
Emily Faithfull, 1863. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Good. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. 1st deluxe limited subscribers edition in full morocco with gilt decoration of lily design by John Leighton. While the interior of the book is near fine condition unfortunately has been poorly cared for by previous owner and there is significant staining and rubbing / gouging to the leather. The binding is otherwise sound and with gilt to all edges. The work is an epic poem assumed to be based on the Spanish legend of Mariquita la Paloma
