Zurich: Buchergilde Gutenberg, 1933. First edition. Hardcover. Very Good/Fair. 254pp. Octavo [23.5 cm] Pale blue cloth covered boards with brown ink stamped titles on the spine and front cover. Publisher's red topstain. The head of the spine is gently bumped and the foot of the spine is negligibly faded. In a worn dust jacket with significant loss to the spine and much taping to the reverse. Treverton 705, Recknagel 453, Hagemann 192, Howard 9a. According to Edward N. Treverton, this is the third book in the Mahogany series, and the first book by B. Traven to be published by the new Buchergilde Gutenberg in Zurich after the Nazis' appropriation of the Berlin press in 1933.
