London: The Harvill Press, 1953. First English Edition. Hardcover with Dust Jacket. Good+/Good+. 4to. Pp. [4], 5-71. Frontis. photo. With a description of the Marseille Block by Andre Wogenscky. Richly illustrated with black-and-white photography, reproductions of Corbusier drawings, plans, etc. Bound in taupe cloth with red lettering stamped on the front board and spine. Endpapers with offsetting from pastedown glue. In the dust jacket that shows a chip on the lower front panel, edge-wear and light foxing. Dust jacket is now housed in a removable, clear archival sleeve. Le Corbusier's effort to provide man with the humanizing synthesis of architecture and nature. While the history of the project is fully exposited, Le Corbusier's guiding philosophy is also fully displayed in his writing.
