HC 1st edition in this form, collected and translated by Mackenzie with woodcuts and chromolithographs from art by Alfred Henry Forrester. Snugly bound in original pebbled red cloth with beveled edges, decorative borders and pictorial vignetter brightly in gilt. Spine extra gilt; all edges gilt. Illustrated with a tissue guarded frontis and 6 tissue guarded chromolithographs plates and with many woodcuts in text. Mild shelf tapping at corners; light crimping and rubbing to cloth at spine ends. Contents bright and neat. Westleys & Co binder's tag to rear pastedown. A well preserved and attractive copy. VG+ .
