Master Skylark by Bennett, John - 1924: A Story of Shakespeare's Time

Textured paper covered boards with brown print and decoration on the spine. The paper is worn through at the corners and at the head and tail of the spine. The pages, deckle-edged and dyed red on the top edge, are clean, tight and unmarked, with no hinge splits. The dust jacket has numerous spots of wear at all corners and along the top edge. As is usually the case with Grosset & Dunlap, there is no mention of the actual publication date. The date give is just the most recent copyright date, with publication likely to have been some years more recent. The story was originally published in 1897 by The Century Co. A moderately rare book.
