About This Item
London: Jonathan Cape, 1957. First U.K. Edition. 8vo. 20cm x 13.5cm. Publisher's slate blue cloth. Dustjacket. Titled in black to spine and front board, clean and handsome in a bright, strong example of the dustjacket with some minor staining to the verso. A very good copy. 256pp. Internally clean, map endpapers (we love map endpapers). A rather peculiar but nonetheless charming adventure tale set in the wild seas off the coast of Scotland, with a rather Bondian supervillain and a highly resourceful pet dog. [63514].
