An octavo measuring 9 by 6 inches with fading to the paper at the lower edges of the spine and boards. In a near fine, unclipped dust jacket with slight wear to the lower edges of the panels and spine area. 461 pages including an index, bibliography, chapter notes and text. Illustrated with maps, photographs and reproductions from contemporary works of art. A clean and tight copy with no prior ownership markings of any kind.
