A rare 18th-century printing of Thomas Sydenham's medical works including his famous medical treatise "Observationes Medicae". Sydenham was an English physician whose textbook became the standard in medical texts for nearly two centuries. This collection of Sydenham works includes various titles, each with separate title pages. Works featured in this collection include:
· Observations on medical history, treatment of acute illnesses
· Letters
· Treaty on gout and hydrops diseases
These medical texts were some of the earliest to be published on proper treatments of smallpox and hysteria, as well as how to manage pain caused by arthritis.
