New York: John Day Company. Near Fine in Very Good+ dust jacket. 1963. Hardcover. 222, [2] p. 21 cm. Sound and square binding in beige cloth-covered boards. Top edge of text block a bit dusty, otherwise no discernable wear to outside. A bit of discoloration starting to endpapers at both ends. Inside pages are clean, bright and unmarked. Dust jacket has minor wear to the corners, and a bit of soiling to the rear white panel. Foxing has started on the reverse side and is starting to be visible on the spine. Not price-clipped. Lightly, if ever, read. The story of a young Cheyenne Indian named Red Bird, who is sent a message in a dream and searches the plains for the rare white buffalo bull. The buffalo will lead him to a great herd, which will save his people from starvation or life on a reservation. .
