Florence [Italy]: Printed by G. Barbera, 1872. Paperwraps (very worn, small piece missing from front wrapper, repaired, affecting several words). 16 cm. 92, (1) pp. Several signatures unopened, some soiling and overall toning to text, a tender copy. Cover title: "Pagliano Medicine for Father of Families, or Every One His own and Children's Doctor." This copy in English, with the imprint "In Nuova-Jork, dal Signor Torelli Dendi" at the bottom of the rear wrapper. A promotional pamphlet for Pagliano Syrup, "a purifier of the blood." Several pages of testimonials and an index appear at the end of the text. Both front and rear covers list other places through-out the world where this publication was sold, including Austria, various other towns in Italy, San Francisco, Australia, South America, etc. Girolamo Pagliano originally published this pamphlet in 1838, and it was reprinted in several languages over the next several decades. A former opera singer, he was also founder of the Teatro Pagliano, later called Teatro Verdi, in Florence.
OCLC lists copies, from 1846 on, in French, Italian, and German, but no English editions.
