A Very Good book in a Fair dust jacket. 8vo., 296 pp., bound in publishers black cloth with title in red. Tan dust jacket with title in red on front cover along with image of knife handle and the Crime Club logo. Dust jacket has been pasted onto backing paper at the spine, top and bottom to reinforce and hold it together, coupon on rear dust jacket flap has been cut out. Text is clean with previous owners name inside front cover, some soiling to text block edges and glue staining to end papers. Very SCARCE copy with original dust jacket. The Saint is the nickname of the fictional character Simon Templar, featured in a series of novels and short stories by Leslie Charteris published between 1928 and 1963. After that date, other authors collaborated with Charteris on books until 1983; two additional works produced without Charteris's participation were published in 1997. The character has also been portrayed in motion pictures, radio dramas, comic strips, comic books and three television series.
