Not price clipped. With protective plastic wrap). Very slight browning to endpapers. Else a clean and tight copy. 280 pp. With b/w photographs, diagrams and maps. Weetman Pearson built up his grandfather’s engineering firm in Bradford to be one of the world’s leading contractors. He was responsible for draining Mexico City, establishing a Mexican oilfield, building the Blackwall Tunnel and the East River Tunnel in New York, and building Veracruz harbour. His work was found from Chile to China. Later he became Liberal MP for Colchester and in 1917, President of the Air Board and one of the creators of the Royal Air Force.
