II, viii, frontispiece portrait and illustrated title page, 632, 23 plates. Publisher's half red morocco, red cloth over boards, 5 compartments to spine with title, vol. no. and publisher's name with gilt decoration and martial symbols in gilt, gilt impressed decoration of Wellington on horseback to front covers, marbled eps, all edges marbled. Scuffas and small tears to leather, edges rubbed, crack to centre of spine leather of vol II. Hand-coloured maps (India, Spain) and battle plans; steel engravings of famous scenes and portraits of Wellington's friends and adversaries. Some offsetting to illustrations, a clean, firm copy.. Association Copy. Hard Cover. Good. Illus. by W.B. Scott. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾".
