Reprinted from the Proceedings of the Massachusetts Historical Society for Jan. 1895. Henry Wheatland (1812-1893) was a doctor and an avid natural history enthusiast and founder of the Essex Institute in Salem, Mass. Scarce. In Good Condition: front and back wrapper are detached, with chipping along the edges; upper corners lightly creased; pages are clean and solid.
