Baltimore: R. H. Woodward, 1894. Reprint. Octavo (20cm). Maroon cloth stamped in gilt; red and cream patterned endpapers; viii,362pp; black and white halftone plates. Straight but rubbed at head and tail with marks to front board, front hinge cracking, abrasions to front pastedown: Good or better.

Johnston (1807-1891) was a prominent Confederate general. This memoir is a "highly sympathetic and strongly partisan account by a soldier who served with Johnston throughout the war." NEVINS I p.67. [61944].
