Pierre Linage de Vauciennes's 'Memoires on the Origins of War' is a late 17th-century treatise on European wars in the 16th- and 17th-centuries. Vauciennes focuses on wars following the Protestant Reformation, the Thirty Years' War, all through the first English Civil War.
Note on dating and publisher: According to Willems, this edition was actually printed in Amsterdam by Elzevier. The imprint is false (to avoid persecution) and was not published in Cologne.
