Ziff-Davis Publishing Company, 1949. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Good/Good. 328 pages plus xxiv front matter pages including Foreword by Lang and von Schenck, Dramatis personae, six-page chronology. Written during the Nuremberg Tribunal on Nazi war crimes, Rosenberg's memoirs were edited by Swiss journalists Lang and Schenck, whose notes are interspersed in the text. This is the first American edition of the translation by Eric Posselt and includes an authorization paragraph from the DoJ Office of Alien Property. Frontispiece photo of Rosenberg's body after his execution. 8vo, black cloth with rubbed gilt lettering in gilt-edged red bands on spine, wear to crown/heel and slight wear to corners, top edge dust-soiled, small water stains to bottom edge/front pastedown/fly-leaf (largest is 1.25" high at bottom of fly-leaf). Notes in pencil on front free end paper and rear pastedown. Pencil underscoring and/or vertical lines in margins observed on six pages. Clipped dust jacket, with the description "The Last Testament of One of History's Most Dangerous Men", has creases along the flap edges, soil visible on back panel and smudges on front, wear along bottom edge with chipping at heel; protected by a fairly old (decades) Brodart covering.
